Born in Palma de Mallorca in 2007, the young Xavier already boasts important experiences in the national championship, from the debut on the minibikes from 2013, at the early age of 6, to continue then the journey in the young categories, MiniGP 110, Premoto3 to arrive in 2020 in the Spanish Championship RFME in Promo3.
Championship completed, with the colours of Cuna de Campeones, also in 2021, with Martinez who got two podiums during the season, ending the year as fifth overall – third of Cuna de Campeones – despite some problems which did not allow him to finish the season on a high, with a double zero at Jerez when he was still fighting to win the Championship.
Martinez will make his debut in the Premoto3 of the 2022 Italian Championship, on board the Bucci Moto BR17GP3, with Claudio Bucci who firmly believes in this project, renewing the team and developing the bikes, extending the amount of the riders to be able to reach the maximum of the targets in 2022 season.
The young rider from Mallorca will line up together with the already announced Luca Maria Casagrande Contardi and Fabio Zanellato, forming like this an interesting team, dynamic, young and with the desire to show their potential and the potential of the team, which, as said, is working hard for the next season and soon will announce some more news.
Claudio Bucci: “I’m extremely satisfied to be able to welcome Xavier Martinez, who will be our third rider in the 2022 Italian Premoto3 Championship. We had the opportunity to know each other these weeks with him and his entourage and we firmly believe in his potential, reason why we wanted to give him this opportunity and bring him to race with us in Italy. We know the talent he has and we can’t wait to see him on board our bike and be able to start working together, as he will also be our first foreign rider in our history, another reason to thank him, his family and all the people who made this agreement possible. We are working very hard to be ready, we believe in our riders and our project and we can’t wait to come back on track to start the 2022 season”
